Baseball Game Preview: Lavaca Golden Arrows vs. Charleston Tigers

The Lavaca Golden Arrows will head out on the road to square off against the Charleston Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lavaca is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Lavaca will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Greenland, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. Lavaca walked away with a 6-2 win over Greenland on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Charleston can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They put the hurt on Waldron with a sharp 11-4 victory. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Charleston picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Lavaca, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Lavaca came out on top in a nail-biter against Charleston in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lavaca since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
