Freer put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over the Pettus Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Buckaroos, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ryan Lopez looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Isaac Gonzales, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Alex Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Freer's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Pettus, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Freer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-7 loss against Lyford on the 28th. As for Pettus, they will welcome Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
