Volleyball Recap: Freeburg Takes a Loss

Freeburg lost against Columbia back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Midgets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Midgets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10.

Lilly Furtak paced Freeburg's offense, picking up five kills. Furtak got some help from Addie Hesseldenz and her 12 assists.

Freeburg now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Columbia, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Freeburg has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Wesclin on the 29th. As for Columbia, they are taking a road trip to take on East Alton-Wood River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
