Judah Christian had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Arcola Purple Riders by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Tribe, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Judah Christian easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13.

Avoni Kelly paced Judah Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Kelly got some help from Mackenzie Jackson and her 15 assists. Kelly also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lydia Daily, each putting up three.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 9-10. As for Arcola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-17.

Looking ahead, Judah Christian will venture away from home to take on DeLand-Weldon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arcola, they will welcome Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
