On Tuesday Phoebus will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will face off against the Menchville Monarchs at 5:00 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Phoebus will head into Thursday's matchup after some sweet revenge against Gloucester: Phoebus couldn't quite topple Gloucester on Thursday, but it was still a huge improvement compared to the three-set defeat they took when the two last played. Phoebus blew past Gloucester 3-0.

Meanwhile, Menchville entered their tilt with Hampton on Thursday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They put the hurt on the Crabbers with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Menchville might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hampton scored at least 16 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-16, 25-10.

Emma Wade was her usual excellent self, getting eight digs, four aces, and a kill. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Lillian Abbitt, who had six kills, five digs, and two aces.

She wasn't the only good server: Menchville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 21 consecutive games.

Phoebus is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Menchville, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.
