Basketball Recap: Franklin Academy Comes Up Short

Franklin Academy came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point loss back in December of 2024. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Rhode Island School for the Deaf by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Rhode Island School for the Deaf this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-24 back in December of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. That patch can't be blamed on the team's defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.5 points over those games. As for Rhode Island School for the Deaf, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

Franklin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rhode Island School for the Deaf, they will square off against Lexington School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
