Baseball Recap: Hudson Catholic Drops Highest Score of Season Against Bayonne

Hudson Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-7 to the Bayonne Bees. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Hawks' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Sandy Antonio was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those runs were his first of the season. Jose Suero was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Hudson Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Bayonne, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

While Hudson Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
