Virances Martinez leads a balanced attack to beat Ramah

Recap: Pine Hill Warriors vs. Ramah Mustangs

In what's become a running theme this season, the Pine Hill Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They put the hurt on Ramah with a sharp 47-21 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Pine Hill has posted since December 12, 2023.

Pine Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Virances Martinez, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Natan, who scored 14 points along with three steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Pine Hill and bumps their season record up to 7-6. As for Ramah, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Hill will take on Hozho Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Hozho Academy is ranked 111th, while Pine Hill is ranked 92nd). As for Ramah, Ramah and Navajo Pine will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Navajo Pine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
