Tri-County - Rock recap November 5, 2013
El Cerrito added to the longest winning streak in Tri-County - Rock this week by beating Saint Mary's, 43-7. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Salesian took down Berean Christian 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Isaiah Hodgins was the best receiver in the league this week as the Eagles lost to the Pride. Hodgins racked up 8 receptions for 144 yards. Chad Whaley helped Berean Christian's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 23 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Anthony Williams of St. Patrick-St. Vincent is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,221. He has also thrown 18 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Hodgins. The Berean Christian star has 33 catches for 539 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when El Cerrito takes on the Bruins. Kenny Kahn's team is in first place, while St. Patrick-St. Vincent is in third place.
Salesian made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,460 from 9,010. The improvement was the result of a 49-6 victory over Berean Christian last week.
