Softball Recap: Golden West Takes a Loss

Monache hit Golden West with a six-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trailblazers lost 13-3 to the Marauders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marauders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

Aniyah Venegas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Golden West has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11-1 record this season. As for Monache, they pushed their record up to 14-5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Golden West will face off against rival El Diamante at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Monache is set to square off against their familiar foe Porterville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
