Preview: Carroll vs. Boone
On Friday Carroll take on Boone at 4:45 PM. Carroll don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
It was all tied up at halftime, but Carroll weren't quite Tri-Central's equal in the second half when they met last Friday. Carroll were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 0-6 to Tri-Central. Carroll are ranked 63rd in the state (219 spots ahead of Tri-Central), so the loss was all the more frustrating.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their contest two weeks ago against A-D-M, Boone were happy to find some success. Boone walked away with a 10-0 victory over Humboldt.
Boone's win lifted them to 3-2 while Carroll's defeat dropped them down to 2-4. We'll see if Boone's success rolls on or if Carroll are able to steal their positive momentum.
