Volleyball Recap: Muscatine Takes a Loss

Muscatine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hempstead Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Muskies of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

Muscatine's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Hempstead, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Muscatine will host Assumption at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Muskies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hempstead, they will take on Waterloo West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
