Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Trojans vs. Timber Creek Falcons

For the second straight game, Trinity will face off against Timber Creek. The Trojans will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Trinity needed a bit of extra time to put away Timber Creek. They had just enough and edged out the Falcons 3-2.

For Timber Creek's part, Jeryn Walker was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Walker has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Timber Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Gowins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Timber Creek has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-9-1 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 12-8-2.
