Softball Game Preview: Bowsher Rebels vs. Springfield Blue Devils

The Bowsher Rebels will head out on the road to take on the Springfield Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bowsher knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Springfield likes a good challenge.

Bowsher will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Rogers, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rebels never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Wednesday. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Springfield came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 7-3.

Bowsher's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Bowsher might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Springfield in their previous meeting back in March of 2019. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
