Soccer Game Preview: Cherokee Bluff vs. Peachtree Ridge

The Cherokee Bluff Bears will take on the Peachtree Ridge Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Cherokee Bluff's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Peachtree Ridge has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Cherokee Bluff's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over West Hall. The result was nothing new for Cherokee Bluff, who have now won five games by six goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Peachtree Ridge fell victim to North Gwinnett and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Peachtree Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while North Gwinnett are ranked 18th).

Cherokee Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 49 goals over those eight matchups. Peachtree Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
