Sunnyslope faced Millennium in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Vikings blew past the Tigers 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Tigers on October 1st, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

While Sunnyslope won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunnyslope to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lainey Johnson, who had 13 digs. Another player making a difference was Emma Easton, who had 11 digs and five assists.

Sunnyslope has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record this season. As for Millennium, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-18.

Sunnyslope has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Desert Vista on the 29th. As for Millennium, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Xavier College Prep on the 29th.
