            Football Recap: Johnson City Eagles vs. San Saba Armadillos        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Thrall  two weeks ago, Johnson City came back down to earth. The Eagles lost  47-21 to the San Saba Armadillos on Friday. The  game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Even if they lost, Johnson City's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Luke Lorenzen,  Tripp Crownover,  and  Aison Aguirre, who each picked up one  sack apiece. Johnson City got some further help from  Lorenzen: he picked up  a  sack and made 12 total tackles.
  Luke Tharp was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 163 yards and three  scores for San Saba. Tharp's rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 104  rushing yards.
Johnson City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for San Saba, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.
 Johnson City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  49-28  victory against Holland on the 17th. As for San Saba, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  28-24  loss against Thorndale on the 17th.
