Basketball Recap: Falkville Takes a Loss

Falkville lost against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falkville Blue Devils were beaten by the Decatur Heritage Christian Academy Eagles 78-50. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while the Eagles are ranked 129th).

Falkville has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-9.

While Falkville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
