Soccer Recap: Tellico Plains Comes Up Short at Home Against Polk County

Tellico Plains unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 5-0 to the Polk County Wildcats on Thursday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Looking ahead, Tellico Plains will venture away from home to take on Brainerd at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give Brainerd their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Polk County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Christian Academy of Knoxville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Academy of Knoxville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Polk County surely won't give up without a fight.
