The first-ever Volleyball Hall of Fame boys high school event will be held on Sunday April 30 in conjunction with the NCAA Division III Men's National Championship at Springfield College.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The International Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke, Mass., will host the inaugural Boys VolleyHall Classic on April 30 at Springfield College, in conjunction with the NCAA Men's Division III Volleyball National Championship Final.
The IVHF's High School Boys VolleyHall Classic will consist of 16 of the best teams from Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The top teams in this first-ever tournament include: 2016 MIAA champion
Framingham; 2015 MIAA champ
Needham; 2014 MIAA champ
Newton South; 2013 champion
Agawam; 2015-2016 Western Massachusetts champion and state finalist
Westfield; and 2015 RIIL Division 1 champ
Coventry.
Springfield-area teams that will participate include
Athol,
Chicopee Comp,
East Longmeadow,
Ludlow and
Minnechaug.
The event will be held at Springfield's Blake Physical Education Complex. Play begins at 8 a.m. and will feature pool play followed by playoffs. The full tournament schedule may be found at

As part of their entry, all participating teams will receive tickets to the NCAA championship match starting at 4 p.m. at Blake Arena.
"It's really terrific to see so many of the top boys high school teams at this event in its first year," said two-time Western Mass. champion and Westfield coach Tyler Wingate.
"Our program really goes out of its way to schedule tough teams during the season, and it's a great opportunity to play so many in one place at this event. Being able to have our guys watch the national championship after the tournament is just icing on the cake."
