Softball Recap: Rosebud-Lott Takes a Loss

Rosebud-Lott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Weimar Wildcats.

Rosebud-Lott got a good showing from Mekenzie Scheler, who struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Scheler has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Rosebud-Lott's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Weimar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Rosebud-Lott will take on Bellville in a tournament on Saturday. As for Weimar, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hallettsville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
