Softball Game Preview: Mulberry Grove Aces vs. Pawnee Indians

The Mulberry Grove Aces will venture away from home to challenge the Pawnee Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mulberry Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Mulberry Grove after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Farina South Central. The Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jenni Mezo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Addie Lawrence was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Pawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Lincolnwood.

Mulberry Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Pawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
