Softball Recap: Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Triumphs

While Russell-Tyler-Ruthton's win against Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Falcons on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Coming up, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton will challenge Murray County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove, they will face off against Springfield at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
