Baseball Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bishop Blanchet on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-4 to the Bears, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

Max Hudson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Hammet Lear also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bishop Blanchet, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
