Saylah Lopez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, she turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Lopez and Archbishop Murphy will take on Marysville-Pilchuck at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Tomahawks thanks in part to Lopez: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.
