Basketball Recap: Churchland Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Churchland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over the Manor Mustangs on Saturday. Given the Truckers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 184th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Churchland pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Manor, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Churchland will square off against Norcom at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Churchland is facing Norcom at the right time seeing as Norcom is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Manor, they will welcome Tallwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
