Basketball Recap: Adella Dehring's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. Thomas More Academy over New Life Camp

If St. Thomas More Academy was feeling good fresh off their 61-9 takedown of American Leadership Academy-Johnston on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors came up short against the New Life Camp Storm on Tuesday, falling 61-39. The loss continues a trend for the Chancellors in their matchups with the Storm: they've now lost three in a row.

Several Chancellors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adella Dehring, who posted four points along with five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of LIlian Marquardt, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

St. Thomas More Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for New Life Camp, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

St. Thomas More Academy will welcome Thales Academy Apex at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Life Camp, they will challenge St. David's at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
