Basketball Recap: Clark Skates Past LEE with Ease

Clark posted their biggest win since November 17, 2023 on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-31 victory over the LEE Volunteers. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Volunteers are ranked 755th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jaden Flemons, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Andrew Vidouria was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Clark smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November.

Clark is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for LEE, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Clark will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Churchill at 12:30 p.m. on December 31st. Clark has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. LEE will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Brandeis at 11:00 a.m. on December 31st. Brandeis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully LEE likes a good challenge.
