Blue Ridge has gone a perfect 7-0 against Susquehanna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Sabers at 9:30 a.m. Susquehanna took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Blue Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Blue Ridge will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Lackawanna Trail, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Raiders came out on top against the Lions by a score of 4-0 on Wednesday.

Hailey Carpenetti made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Carpenetti was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mel Bloomer, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Susquehanna didn't have quite enough to beat Forest City on Wednesday and fell 5-3.

Susquehanna saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Huyck, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those doubles were Huyck's first of the season.

Blue Ridge's record is now 4-9. As for Susquehanna, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Blue Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Susquehanna when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 12-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
