Softball Game Preview: Colfax Falcons vs. Marysville Indians

Colfax hasn't had much luck against Marysville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Colfax Falcons will welcome the Marysville Indians at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Colfax is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 14-3.

Colfax saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Stofleth, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Savannah Hostler was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Marysville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lincoln on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 13-7 to the Fighting Zebras. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Marysville's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Colfax, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Colfax took their win against Marysville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5. Will Colfax repeat their success, or does Marysville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
