Baseball Recap: Van Horn Gets the Win

The Van Horn Falcons had just enough and edged out Varsity Opponent 12-11 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

The team relied heavily on Bennett Oney-Myers, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Preston Burks was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Van Horn now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Van Horn will face off against Carrollton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Carrollton's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Van Horn's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 21-0 loss against Sealy on the 25th.
