It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mt. Pleasant ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Del Mar Dons. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Victor Cantabrana was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Arroyo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Mt. Pleasant is 6-1 when Arroyo posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Julian Saldana was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Mt. Pleasant's record now sits at 11-8. As for Del Mar, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Mt. Pleasant will have a chance to go back-to-back against Del Mar: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
