Basketball Recap: Lindblom Comes Up Short

Lindblom was the 71-61 winner over Phillips when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 63-58 to the Wildcats on Sunday.

Despite the loss, Lindblom still got an impressive performance from William Occomy, who posted 19 points and seven assists. Occomy has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Mickale Blakley, who scored 12 points and seven rebounds.

Phillips' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johntae Duncan led the charge by putting up 18 points. Johnathan Duncan was another key player, posting 14 points.

Lindblom's record is now 8-11. As for Phillips, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

Lindblom has already played their next matchup, a 65-47 win against Christian Fenger Academy on the 20th. As for Phillips, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-52 victory against Englewood Stem on the 20th.
