Softball Game Preview: Gibbs Gladiators vs. St. Petersburg Catholic Barons

The Gibbs Gladiators will head out on the road to face off against the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gibbs comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Gibbs came up short against Boca Ciega on Wednesday, falling 19-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 29 runs the game before, St. Petersburg Catholic was a bit more limited in their contest two weeks ago. They lost 24-1 to Saint Stephen's Episcopal. The loss continues a trend for the Barons in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

St. Petersburg Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Barnard, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

St. Petersburg Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gibbs, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
