Recap: South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets vs. Whitmire Wolverines

Sadly, the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets are still looking for their first win of the season after ten contests. They were beaten by Whitmire 37-8 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 625th, while Whitmire is ranked 291st).

Whitmire found their leader in underclassman Brantlee Roche, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roche has scored all season. Brooklynn Babb was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.2 points per game. As for Whitmire, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-17.

South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Whitmire also has no future games currently scheduled.
