Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Nichols

Nichols barely beat Mount St. Mary Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Thunder 10-4 on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Gabrielle Chebat, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Annabelle Berke, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Nichols' victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nichols is set to challenge their familiar foe Sacred Heart Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mount St. Mary Academy will face off against rival Mount Mercy Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
