Basketball Recap: East Stroudsburg North Falls Despite Big Games from Bernard Bowen and Wayne King

East Stroudsburg North managed to keep up with Pocono Mountain East until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves lost 91-69 to the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

East Stroudsburg North's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Wayne King, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds, and Bernard Bowen, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 20 points along with six assists and three steals. Those 20 points gave Bowen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brandon Jeffers, who posted eight points.

East Stroudsburg North's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Pocono Mountain East, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

As of now, neither East Stroudsburg North nor Pocono Mountain East have any future games scheduled.
