Volleyball Game Preview: Mayfield Wildcats vs. Chardon Hilltoppers

Mayfield is 2-8 against Chardon since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Mayfield lost 3-0 to Riverside on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Chardon came up short against South on Wednesday and fell 3-1. While the Hilltoppers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rebels 25-21 in the first set.

Chardon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.

Chardon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Mayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
