Basketball Recap: Armstrong's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Armstrong can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Sunday. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Burrell Bucs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the River Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Armstrong to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Szep, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Chase Jablonski was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Armstrong's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Burrell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Armstrong wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-41 defeat against Kiski Area on the 28th. Burrell has also already played their next game, a 67-39 loss against North Catholic on the 28th.
