Baseball Recap: Assumption Comes Up Short

Assumption was the 5-3 winner over Davenport North when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-4 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered against the Wildcats since June 4, 2018.

Assumption's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Davenport North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Davenport North beat Assumption by a score of 2-1 later that day.
