Softball Recap: Carroll Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Victory

Carroll put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They beat the London Pirates by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Ali Ann Deleon tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.

At the plate, Carroll let Isabella Guzman and Kaeleigh Mendez run wild. Guzman went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI, while Mendez scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Carroll pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs over those games. As for London, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Carroll will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Veterans Memorial at 5:15 p.m. Carroll is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season. As for London, they will square off against Los Fresnos at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
