Holy Cross and Oxford are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Crusaders will welcome the Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Holy Cross' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Oxford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Holy Cross is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Woodland Regional, who was ranked fifth at the time (Holy Cross was ranked seventh). The Crusaders might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-0 to the Hawks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Crusaders have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Oxford made easy work of Crosby on Friday and carried off a 14-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Oxford, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Holy Cross couldn't quite finish off Oxford in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
