Baseball Recap: Port Clinton Comes Up Short

Port Clinton lost against Danbury back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Redskins fell 5-0 to the Lakers. The Redskins just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Derek Abernathy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Port Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Danbury, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Clinton will head out to challenge Woodmore at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Danbury, they will square off against Calvert at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
