Recap: Macon County Bulldogs vs. Webster County
The Macon County Bulldogs stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Webster County for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-9 victory on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-0.
Macon County was led to victory by Destiny Smith and Aniah Lake. Smith scored 14 points, while Lake scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lake has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Lake, who scored eight points.
Macon County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Webster County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Macon County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dooly County at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Dooly County has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16. As for Webster County, they will head out on the road to face off against Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Manchester's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while Webster County has been banged up by 17 consecutive losses on the road.
