Softball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View entered their match against Tucson High Magnet School on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mountain View Mountain Lions lost 10-3 to the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers. The Mountain Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Badgers earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Danika Stoddard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain View and nudges their season record down to 12-4. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will venture away from home to challenge Catalina Foothills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they will head out to square off against Hamilton at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
