Basketball Recap: Appalachian Christian Homeschool Starts Season with Loss at Home

Appalachian Christian HomeSchool unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 56-24 defeat at the hands of Providence Academy on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with Providence Academy: they've now lost three in a row.

It was another big night for Kinley Painter, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine steals for Providence Academy. Painter's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Honeycutt, who posted six points.

Providence Academy now has a winning record of 10-9.

Appalachian Christian HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Providence Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-38 victory against First Baptist Academy on the 21st.
