Soccer Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

Triton's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union Pines Vikings. Triton were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Union Pines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Triton's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Union Pines, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Triton will square off against rival South Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Union Pines is set to take on their familiar foe Lee County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
