Baseball Recap: Idalou Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Idalou came tearing into Thursday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Friona Chieftans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 22-10. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Idalou pushed their record up to 19-5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. As for Friona, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
