Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Christian Academy played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 64-27 loss at the hands of the St. Paul's Prep Lions . The Colts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 70-50.

Despite the defeat, Grace Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brycen Adams posted eight points and six boards.

It was another big night for Wyatt Tate, who went 12 of 17 en route to 28 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for St. Paul's Prep. The dominant performance gave Tate a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Mateo Talavera, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Grace Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for St. Paul's Prep, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Grace Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-53 loss against Heritage Christian Academy on the 4th. St. Paul's Prep has also already played their next game, a 53-50 win against Community Christian on the 4th.
