Oak Hill hasn't had much luck against George Washington recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Oak Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Oak Hill is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Nicholas County on Wednesday. They lost 15-2 to the Grizzlies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Red Devils have suffered since March 24th.

Oak Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Grose, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, George Washington waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Black Eagles a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

George Washington pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Oak Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Oak Hill suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to George Washington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
